This deck is a full 78 card tarot deck based on some classic and well known early movie monsters and horror films. The films featured in this deck range from 1903 to 1968.
The Vintage Horror Tarot Deck was originally a Kickstarter project from the summer of 2016. At the end of the first day of the project being live it had reached and exceeded it's original funding goal and over the course of the project it had raised over five times the original goal. The deck was able to reach both of it's stretch goals, which made it possible for the deck to be made in a custom box as well as have an information booklet.
The Major Arcana cards feature poster art from Golden Era horror films. The Minor Arcana cards feature screen captures and promotional images taken from the same films.
This deck comes in a shrink wrapped custom art box.
Though the physical copies of the booklet are no longer available (they were only available in limited numbers for the Kickstarter), the booklet is provided to buyers of the deck through Etsy in a digital PDF form.
The cards themselves are printed in standard tarot dimensions (2.75" x 4.75" / 70mm x 121mm) and will also fit in a standard tarot bags or boxes.
